Hear From Happy Care Counselors Customers

Your services as care managers for my mother have been invaluable. I really had no idea of the services a care manager could provide and what a difference it would make in my family’s life. The only regret I have is I didn’t call you sooner. As you told me, I can be a daughter now, instead of being a full-time care coordinator. I’m happier and it appears my mother is as well.

You have made my mother’s transition to assisted living much smoother. Thank you so much.

I hired Joanne to help me with my parents – they lived in KY and I live in CO, so I could not be there to help them with their needs as often as I would have liked. Joanne helped us with Medicaid applications, helped my Mom find a nursing home for my Dad, and generally helped manage everyone’s expectations. Trading roles with your parents is extremely stressful for both sides, and Joanne provided a buffer for me. She was always extremely professional, and handled things for us in a no nonsense way that I appreciated very much. After our business was complete, she kept in touch with my Mom and offered friendship and encouragement. I would hire Joanne again in a heartbeat.

Frankly, I don’t know what we would do without your caring attention and devotion to my sister and her well-being. I’ve returned to full-time practice as a hospice physician, working in and out of a number of nursing homes as well as visiting patients in their own homes. I’m not aware of a similar service being provided by a free-standing, entrepreneurial care management organization such as yours; you fill an important gap in helping families flung far and wide.

Thanks again,

Joanne has been our sister’s Care Manager since May, 2008. During the past two years she has overseen a move from public to private healthcare. She has monitored our sister’s health and seen her through cataract surgery and extensive dental work. She visits her on a regular basis, takes her shopping and out to dinner and makes sure that she has clothing appropriate for all seasons. She’s also set up a schedule for hair and pedicure services…she even decorates her room for holidays and her birthday is always remembered and celebrated. Living as far away as we do, we don’t know what we’d do without her. My brother and I could not wish for better care for our sister.

…on a positive note, VA just approved the A&A back to application date. Thanks soo much for suggesting this. Counter to my initial thoughts, you have been extremely helpful and a blessing to both my Mom and me as we navigate new ground. Thanks a million, I’m happy to be a reference should you encounter other hard to please and somewhat difficult clients.

Best,

….once reality set in that I had to place my husband in a nursing home, another fearful step was looming on dealing with Medicare/Medicaid. In the past few years, my efforts had accomplished little. It was at this point I met Joanne and realized she had our best interests at heart.

She is accomplished, professional, caring and very knowledgeable on what was allowed and not allowed. She did all the reseach and even went so far as to attend the DHS meeting with me, having all the information ready to present to the case worker. In no time my fears were behind me and I credit that solely to Joanne and her hard work and dedication.

Thank you so much Joanne!

It’s been a year now that we had Daddy in the hospital and hospice. Can you believe that? We think of you often and appreciate even more how you helped us and were there for us – not only as a job but as a friend. I give your name and number to people that need you – even if they don’t know it! Just wanted to say hello and that we haven’t forgotten!

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for advocating with regard to the letter for Wells Fargo. It took me a while to identify players and obstacles but you were able to effect the needed outcome – it is very much appreciated.
